Pre-conference FAQs

What styles should I adapt if my paper is in Chinese?

If your paper is in Chinese, we recommend adapting the styles of the Studies of Translation and Interpretation by the Taiwan Association of Translation and Interpretation. Please note that for papers to be published after the conference in the special issue of the Taiwan Journal of Linguistics, please use English as the language and adapt the TJL styles.

Do I have to register for the conference?

No. As a presenter, you're automatically entitled to the following items for free:

  • Conference handbook (contains the program and abstracts)
  • Certificate of Presentation (also with notes that you've participated for 2 days; 16 hours)
  • Boxed lunch
  • Stationery set

However, to help us understand your needs better, please complete the Presenter Requests form for us. Thank you.

Do I have to submit my full paper?

Yes. If, for any reason, you cannot/do not want to submit your full paper, you should provide us a report on your findings. The report can be a summary of your findings written as a narrative or a slide presentation. Please note you still need to submit your full paper after the conference if you would like to be published by the Taiwan Journal of Linguistics.
